Isn't it Time for Metric Time?

On a more serious note....
Since I posted the original question - noone - not one person, has been able to give me an adequate answer.
I think that's primarily because you wouldn't be satisfied with one. The fact is several posters have had good responses. You haven't replied to a single one of them. You only reply to those who give flippant or ignorant answers.

It's too bad the British & French didn't take cues from the American colonists. You want to build successful colonies? Don't try to co-exist with the natives or try to use them as some form of cheap labor. Kill them. Kill every last fucking one of them. Imagine the wealth and power Africa could have had if they would have done that. But they didn't do that, so it's a major shithole that's classifying disease it can find as ebola or AIDS so it can get money from the West. Nuke the fucking continent and put it out of its misery.

Wow, you can tell me the weights and volumes of... water!
The point is that it's very easy to calculate the mass of something if you know its volume.
1 liter (1 dm3) of water = 1 kg
The best part is that, since the volumetric mass of water is equal to 1, you can calculate the mass of any volume of any material pretty easily.
The story I've heard behind the salute involves raising the visor on your helmet so that your lord/commander/royalty could see your eyes.

I know the slashdot staff has serious trouble doing basic journalist research, (We've all read the staffs articles) -- but that's ok. We all have our handicaps, most of us don't take jobs doing the things we suck at, but none the less...
