Overpeer Spewing Bogus Files on P2P Networks
nimec writes "Zeropaid.com has posted news of a company called Overpeer which is the source of all the bogus mp3 files that are popping up on the various P2P networks. Zeropaid, in the news article, said: 'If you've encountered the "loop" files, in which a section of the chorus or hook is repeated over and over, you've been tricked by OVERPEER. OVERPEER are doing this with the full knowlege and consent of Interscope and Universal Music, in fact they are under contract to Universal and other major record labels, and will be doing a LOT MORE of this type of "interdiction" in the near future.' Right now this doesn't bother me because these bogus files are few, very spread out and it is easy spot them. I'm just afraid that over time people will keep downloading these bogus mp3s and become too lazy to delete them, like they are when it comes to incomplete songs."

You must be an Israel apologist. I always hear this same hoakum about Palestinians acknowledging Israel's right to exist. But what about Israel acknowledging Palestine's right to exist? Israel is a country that has no declared borders and has a government that openly talks about seizing "Greater Israel" (read: the West Bank and Gaza). Israel's goal has partially been fulfilled--it has planted hundreds of illegal Jewish-only settlements that make Palestine a de-facto bantustan.
Your assertion that Palestinians should acknowledge Israel's right to exist is besides the point. If Israel claims to be a democracy they would respect international law such as UN Resolution 242 which states that seizing lands in a military action is illegal and condemnable. So what we have here is a pseudo-democracy refusing to let go of illegally occupied land that rightfully belongs to its indigenous inhabitants, the Palestinians. It's also clear that Israel will not abide by the Geneva Conventions, the United Nations, or the international community. It seems the only stumbling block to peace is the intransigent, tiny apartheid state of Israel.
Palestinians are not saying that Israel has no right to exist. What they are saying is that Israel has no right to taking Palestinian land (all 100% of it) as the basis for their existance.

More accurate analogy:
We both claim to have the deed to a dilapidated old house. The local housing commission steps in, divides the house in two, and gives us each a half. I work hard to fix and clean my half, and eventually it's nice and livable; your half is still a decrepit shithole, for which you blame me.
Some of our neighbors (who all have houses many times bigger than ours) would like to take over our house, and you start letting them in through your door so they can beat me up and throw me out. Unfortunately for them, I'm tougher than they are, and after kicking them out of the house a few times I decide enough is enough and take control of the whole house.
The neighbors - the ones who wanted to take over our house - start supplying you with M80's and encouraging you to set them off in my section of the house.
(Of course, what you could really use is some cleaning supplies and help fixing up your half of the house, but the neighbors aren't offering that. But then, if they really had your best interest at heart, they might offer to let you stay in one of the guest rooms of their spacious houses, rather than beating up every time you've slept over. It's also rather obvious that if they're successful in evicting me, they're just going to knock down our house and expand their houses onto our property, at which point you'll be really fucked. But I digress...)

Hmmm? Except that I was actually living in the house for the past twenty years. You went downtown and hired a lawyer to argue to the housing commission that since the yard was a bit ratty and since your great-grandfather lived in the house seventy-five years ago, you had the right to the whole first floor (and you know perfectly darn well that your teenage son with an attitude thinks he owns the whole damn house and keeps leaving his stuff all over my floor).

Uh, no, most Arab countries in the area, living in their squalor and backwardness (they have no one to blame but themselves for their shit societies), use Israel as the scapegoat for all their problems. If you don't recall, Israel gained the land when it was attacked by several Arab countries : Not only did the much smaller Israel kick their backwards asses back, they took some extra land in the process as a safety zone : Anywhere else that's considered conquested land and they can forget about ever having it back : Israel has every right to use it as a shit dumping site. BTW: Note that not a single Arab country will take in the Palestinians as refugees or migrants -> Think about that for a while. That is the sort of people that the world is crying crocodile tears for : People who's own "brothers" are saying "Uh, no thanks...."....
