What's so special about a low cost Apple server, when you can build an x86 box for a fraction of the price, and get better performance, without the extra cost of the Windows licenses?

You can still read and write your Microsoft Office documents.

You can still play your MP3 files.

You can still go to all the same websites with your Internet Explorer.

Those three things alone make it easy for the average user to switch from Windows to Mac.

well the article is misleading also in the sense that most people who think economically, will purchase dell/hp (MS win systems) and then DLand install a free linux OS.
So the article in stating that apple sells more unix boxen is falsen cause potentially all PCboxen's are also unix boxen's also.
That's what i did in school and what my employers do also. They buy PC's that come with windows and then custom install linux on their own or dual boot win/linux. I dont think People (the poor, smart ones) , would buy dells with linux cause getting it with the MS bundle would be more cost efficient especially since linux os's are free for DL.
