The affected versions are "[...] OpenSSL 0.9.6d or earlier, or 0.9.7-beta2 or earlier or current development snapshots of 0.9.7 to provide SSL or TLS is vulnerable, whether client or server. 0.9.6d servers on 32-bit systems with SSL 2.0 disabled are not vulnerable."     Don't worry about that pesky /. affect sir. I got the binary patch off a warez server. All secure now ;-)

    When Internet Explorer or IIS has a bug, it's a security "vulnerability" or "exploit". When Mozilla or OpenSSH has a bug, it's a security "update". I love how Slashdot doesn't even bother to hide its shameless bigotry and complete lack of journalistic integrity. Rob Malda and the janitors are morons of the stupidest caliber.

    Perhaps I'm mistaken, it having been awhile since I learned my alphabet but is it not so that C comes before D? And the suggested action is to patch D or upgrade to E?

    Unless some funky patching is going on, let's link to a deb that is actually not vulnerable here ok?
