Hacker Survey
Lisa writes "A new entry in Tim O'Reilly's blog, titled "Creativity, Flow, and Joy in Programming" talks about a survey of IS developers with projects hosted by Sourceforge. The results were presented at O'Reilly's Open Source Convention last week. 60% said, 'With one more hour in the day, I would program.' 70% of the respondents volunteered that lack of sleep was the most significant cost of participation. Almost 50% of the respondents
agreed that 'When we prepare a program, it's just like composing poetry or music." OSDN has a page with the survey results in PDF or HTML. Slashdot is a part of OSDN.
...is that I really didn't read the article, I just wanted to see if I could get the earliest reply!

Plunge into pussy over and over like any piece of trailer trash can do, or create something intellectually challenging which can further your career and give you something to be proud of. Hmm.
Admittedly the pussy is a fun distraction now and then, but come on here... there's much more to life than that.
Not if it saves a young life from the hellish torture and damnation known as programming.
get a girlfriend, get laid
My religous believes prohibit sex before marraige. And I have had serious girlfriends. Like one I dated for 18 months. No sex.
"Getting laid" is not the end all, be all you make it out to be.
Since you are a VIRGIN, you can't really say how awesome sex really is, can you?
True, but he can probably guess by knowing his own reaction to having a girlfriend to hold and give/receieve affection from, and talking to other guys about their experiences which are either more or less sexual, which I'm sure are similar.
If you've ever known a hardcore Christian, you know the way they cuddle is something fierce. And they talk dirty better than most atheists.
