Build Your Own Tesla Coil

screenbert writes "Ever wanted to keep stray dogs or neighbors from trampling your backyard, but just couldn't find the system to really deter them? Well this site shows how they built a bi-polar Tesla Coil system. I've always loved the Tesla coils on C&C when they'd zap the units as they went by. "

Cool, I'm glad someone else does this as well. My favorite is either to use it to stir the lemonaid, or else dip it in whipped cream and then lick all the cream off (that one hurts my spine though).

By the way, I know this is a bit offtopic, but I recall reading about some nifty google feature in a comment to a slashdot post a while ago. It was essentially a phone number owned by google that you could call, and then you would speak what you were searching for, and they used a speech to text converter, and then searched google for that, and displayed the results in some sub directory of google. I know it's a silly system, but I've been searching long and hard for that phone number to no avail, and thought I would ask at the place that originally produced the URL, any help folks?
