Gobe Productive To Be GPLed

ParisTG writes "The Gobe Productive office suite is to be re-licensed under the GPL, according to an interview by OSNews. "FreeRadical has purchased the gobeProductive source code and plans to continue to develop the product under a GPL license."" The people who wrote Gobe, are also the folks who wrote ClarisWorks ^? , if you remember back to that. I've used Gobe a few times before - great office suite.

Islam is dying

Yet another crippling bombshell hit the beleaguered world Islamic community when last month a CNN poll confirmed that Islam accounts for less than a fraction of 1 percent of all the world's religious faithful. Coming on the heels of the latest CNN poll survey which plainly states that Islam has lost more adherents, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. Islam is collapsing into complete disarray, as further exemplified by failing dead last in the recent new membership statistics.

You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict Islam's future. The hand writing is on the wall: Islam faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for Islam because Islam is dying. Things are looking very bad for Islam. As many of us are already aware, Islam continues to lose converts. Blood flows like a river of red ink. Shii Islam is the most endangered of them all.

Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.

PLO leader Yassir Arafat states that there are 20000 members of the PLO. How many members of al Qaeda are there? Let's see. The number of PLO versus al Qaeda posts on Usenet is roughly in ratio of 200 to 1. There are about 50 members of Hamas still not in jail. A recent article put Shi'ites at about 10 percent of the Islamic community. therefore there are (20000+100+50)*9 = 181,350 Muslims worldwide. This is consistent with the number of Shi'ite Usenet posts.

Due to the troubles of September 11, abysmal human rights abuses and so on, the Taliban was defeated and was taken over by the Northern Alliance who promote another troubled Islamic theocracy. Now Azrat al-Jihad is also dead, its corpses turned over to yet another world court.

All major surveys show that Islam has steadily declined in credibility. Islam is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If Islam is to survive at all it will be among young, troubled American outcasts. Islam continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, Islam is dead.
