Cassette-Shell Sized MP3 Player/Recorder
octa-g writes: "USA Today tech reviews is featuring a nifty little cassette sized MP3 player that records analog audio. 'The Digisette Duo-DX can copy cassette tapes in a dual-well tape deck or boombox. Or you can make recordings by connecting an output cable from a stereo source to the Duo's earphone port and holding down the Duo's play and fast-forward buttons.' The ability to record audio straight to the player, or to record some of my old tapes/LPs to MP3 without a computer or other recording equipment intrigues me." This sounds like a good way to add fast-forward to the old car radio.
Each say I come expecting a pleasant surprise. And each day I am bombarded with old stories about old products some of which have even been posted here before. I could go around and rip off articles myself from www.hardocp.com, www.theregister.co.uk, www.cnn.com, www.nytimes.com, www.sourceforge.com, www.tomshardwareguide.com, www.kde.org, www.gnome.org, etc etc etc. (and then post them and hammer my viewers with ads.) I have read almost everything BEFORE it's posted on /. and I am sure I am not the minority. So what am I left with? Ok, I've read the story before, maybe the comments will make it all worthwhile. WRONG. Most comments here now are karma-whores dressed up to try and be clever and humorous at the same time. It's a feeding frenzy of posters trying not to be the one buried in Slashdot's convoluted garbage pile they call a web board. Uh oh here come the brown shirt modders - quick must say something clever even though I have no clue what I am talking about. Ah...yes...+1. My work here is done. Hopefully I have buried something actually useful with my trite drivel. So Slashdot, CMDRTaco, CowboyNeal, and so on......FUCK YOU!
