NWN Linux Screenshots
Gabe writes "Looks like the NWN linux client page has been updated with screenshots!.
Finally, some decent proof that Bioware is coming through for us linux folks. Maybe it's time to open my copy soon :)" My replacement CPU fan is here,
so I theoretically can now play NWN. Can't wait for the good modules to start
being developed. In the meantime, we should use it as the prettiest IRC
server ever... where you can kill your friends instead of just kickbanning
them :)
its sad that a SCREEN SHOT update made the MAIN NEWS PAGE.... just because linux was it in... ....get a life man.... linux isn't as great as you all think it is.... expand you vocab to other unix variants....
I bet you that would run faster on Gnome/Gnome2/Ximian Gnome.
No offence to NwN fans, but the game is crap. Too easy, too repetitive, too boring. The Linux audience tends to look a bit beyond the graphics, and there isn't much to NwN beyond the graphics. Even Baldur's Gate II (which was also a hymn to boredom) was more interesting than NwN. It plays like Diablo II and requires about the same IQ.
Personally, I'd much rather see an updated version of Ultima 6 or 7. Now those were what I call real RPGs; NwN is just a zombie beat'em'up with a few (bad) dialogues thrown in and a (terrible) story tacked in at the last moment.
