Changing Face of Linux?
standards writes "Reuters is reporting that pony-tailed Linux Users have been seen mingling with executives in short-sleeved golf shirts. The article suggests that real technology guys don't wear shorts, T-shirts or baseball caps." the article is mostly about the business focus of Linux these days, although I think the writer is a couple years late since I think this was really the case about 4 LinuxWorld's ago ;)
It's like the way how you dress, how you wear your hair, whether you're morbidly overweight or even personal hygiene are viewed as secondary and shouldn't matter if you're just 3leet enough.
No, you don't need to wear a three-piece suit and $500 shoes. What you need to do is wear something else than jeans and a t-short, shower at least once a day, wear some cologne/perfume, have your hair cut once a month and lose that goddamn beer belly.
People who work with you and who do business with you will thank you for this.
Cut the ponytails, shave your unkempt beards, and take some showers, YOU FUCKING FREAKS!
Maybe THEN Linux will get some respect.
