Michael Simms of LGP and TuxGames

jvmatthe writes "The scene for native Linux games has been sleeping for months now, given the demise of Loki. Now LinuxGames has posted a very interesting interview with Michael Simms, who leads both TuxGames and Linux Game Publishing (LGP), which details his views on where Linux gaming has been, where it stands now (including comments on WineX), and where it may be going in the short and long term."

Has it ever occured to you that anyone who is truly loyal to GNU/linux will go to What Ever Means Necessary to get developers to migrate to our platform? Not that I, personally, advocate physical violence; but I find that I can't quite bring myself to condemn the actions of otherwise upstanding GNU/Linux users, either.

I think it would be a better use of time for you to condemn those who are trying to shut out our platform by not developing for it. THEY are the real enemy, not some well-meaning GNU/Linux advocates.

You just love to make things up and calling it the truth, don't you. I have never heard of anyone running Linux only because it's free beer. Windows can be just as free if you pirate and I know alot of people doing that.

And yes. I pay for Linux games.

Not the same "michael" Simms (?) as on Slashdot, I take it?

No. The one being interviewed here actually has a personality.
