ARCADE: Blinkenlights with Tetris

BorrisYeltsin writes "The guys from blinkenlights are doing it again, but this time in France on a 26x20 display, for 11 nights at the "Bibliotheque nationale de France" in Paris. This time instead of pong you get to play tetris on this 520 pixel display. Again they need your animations for the project."

Have they already done Invaders, night driver (scroll down) would be also possible - the classic Snake could be fun too. Well, actually, I quess any classic is rather easily portable :)

... I wonder if this could be done on global or continental scale. Imagine sitting in your space shuttle and playing Tetris with the lights of America or Europe. Siberia would be a problem though ;) If this is too big, maybe JUST Tokyo-Yokohama scale for example? Just some co-operation, and it could be doable :)

Sure classic video games are cool and all, but as soon as the United States catches on to this phenomena we can expect to see Blinkenspam appearing on a building near you. Increase your penis size today, naturally ! . | | 0|0

  7. Brown University already did it in 2000 by wackybrit · · Score: 3, Interesting

Brown University built a thing just like this and created the world's largest Tetris game. Steve Wozniak, a confessed Tetris addict, even went to play on it.

I think it was only a 10 * 12 matrix though.. so perhaps Blinkenlights' attempt will beat their record.. depends on the height of the tower rather than the resolution I guess.
