Ximian Testing Red Carpet Daemon

rainmanjag writes "GNOMEdesktop.org noted a new page on Ximian's site announcing the testing release of Red Carpet Daemon which would allow administrators to do automatic software updates on workstations within the enterprise. You can also get a command line copy of Red Carpet." Hopefully this works out better than the time I cronned apt-get upgrade under Debian's unstable tree. Whoops.

    Newsagent REUTERS just reported that a SWEDISH man tried to capture an airplane and his intentions were to fly that plane to some building in USA!!!!

    Does anyone else find this extremely prejudiced? Does it matter that he's of this or that religion?

    Or has it become abundantly clear that Muslims have become a group that is the biggest contributor to global terrorism?

    If they didn't invoke their Allah when they attack, they could perhaps be taken seriously as a group (a group that's scattered all over the place) with issues that they'd like addressed. So long as they decide to invoke their religion and make martyrdom a central ideal upon which they conduct their war, they will never be taken seriously.

      That's a pertinent piece of information. If he were a Christian, it wouldn't be, since they haven't shown any special propensity towards terrorist acts in the 21st century.

      What pisses me off is when news reports of suspects at large omit their race because it might offend someone. Hellooooo! How will we know if we've seen the suspect if we don't know his race?
