Tomcat 4.1.10 Released

Roullian writes "The first stable version of Tomcat 4.1 is out. This is a long-awaited version, as it includes major improvements: enhanced administration tools, a new JSP compiler, and many many performance and scalability improvements. For all of us using Tomcat in production, it's time to download!"

    Never use a tomcat 3.x server in production. Never.
    Tomcat 4.x (particularly the 4.1) series is faster, more stable, and generally nicer than the 3.x series. It is production capable.

    Wait until 4.1.11 - they are fixed there. Otherwise - download 4.1.10 now and start testing your upgrades!

      Yes. 3 to 4 is night and day difference in performance and stability.

    Not very anxiously, mind, but I started playing around with Tomcat 3.x a while back to develop some internal apps, figured with 4.1 coming up I'd wait on it to upgrade.

    Guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.
