Attack of the Really Big Clones

An anonymous reader writes "CNN reports that Attack of the Clones is coming to an IMAX theatre near you. 50 IMAX commercial venues, and 20-30 science museum sites will begin showing the film on November 1. The IMAX version is expected to add another $20M to the films current $300M take."

iMax?? Was this the latest cinema display by Apple? More than one iMac?

No! It's IMAX (all caps), the large screen. When you can't type the name correctly, you tell the audience that you don't really know the topic, and nobody who knows the proper capitalization is going to take your argument seriously. If you were hiring a IT Technician, and an applicant wrote in his resume that he had experience with Windows Nt or Mac Os, would you believe him?

I hate people that don't know the different between iMax and IMAX, since only one exists.

Apart from that, my girlfriend just had me take her to Beauty and the Beast at our local IMAX theatre, and I must say that while that certainly wasn't made for IMAX, they did a great job with it. (Actually they brought in many of the original artists to redo a lot of it so that it would look right on IMAX.) I believe they also doubled the amount of pixels or something along those lines. Anyway, you still had the same experience you get with movies filmed specifically for IMAX, to a slightly lesser extent, but it still did add to it.
