More Applications For Hashcash

Anon writes: "Although the use of HashCash has been featured before, Adam Back has recently (August 1st) published a paper about it, outlining many other applications for the mechanism. Quite an interesting read. It seems the guys at camram have been working on a standard for use in e-mail too."

I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his work, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

That's just another way of using hemp as barter.

I am Amish and nobody I know would barter for hemp.

I barter livestock, bullets, fabric, produce, leather, rope, nails, wood-working tools, lumber, wagons, furniture, nuts, coal, brick, hay, metals, and internet service (hehe just kidding).

Hemp realy has no value for bartering unless I want to specifically barter to a city-person for somthing only available in the city such as FireWorks, etc.

And to let you United States Citizens and United States citizens (14th ammendment) know, I NEVER barter for United States Currency(U.S. Stock) mainly because it is not worth anything and is the work of the devil. U.S. Currency is not backed by gold and the United States LLC (corporation) reserves the ability of adjusting inflation at their whim. I pray for the return of the united States of America to a more reliable form of bartering.

And if your Census agent or Selective Service Agent comes up to my property again, I'll punch a few holes in him and use him as a Tea Bag in Piranha Lake. Go fight your own wars, because many of the people you war upon are my good friends and you will never hurt my relationship with those peacable people your Government (United States LLC /w Power of Attorney) tries to oppress and tax.

May God help us all, dear Jesus.
