The Perl Journal Returns

thelenm writes "Fans of The Perl Journal will remember that it was bought by SysAdmin Magazine and recently ceased to exist altogether. Well, it's coming back as a monthly e-zine, which you can subscribe to for $1/month. With their new business model, they need at least 3,000 subscribers to go ahead with publication. The first issue is due out November 1, so subscribe now!"

Huh? I thought the point of Perl was to use all the keys on the
keyboard, so that none of them would get worn out faster than the
others. Sure, it uses toprow keys, but it uses all the others too.

I'd humbly offer that the content is well worth $1 per month to me. I know there are tons of books and open resources for Perl (I've used or bought most of them, I think). But, the articles always seemed to go quite deep into the subject with plenty of examples. And, the range of topics is great. Here's at least one vote for $1 per month. 2999 left to go.

This could be worth it with all the information that's in TPJ. For $1/issue you can get 50 issues for the price of the Programming Perl book which is good.
