    This is news for nerds? Stuff that matters?

    You know, hearing about the latest release of such and such program or something about Star Wars is one thing, but this is hardly interesting at all. A bunch of rednecks asking for $15K to drop a car out of a cargo plane? I think Slashdot may have officially jumped the shark today. Mark the date -- September 18, 2002.     alienware is great, you can customize everything, plus some sweet lookin cases, they are a tad pricey, but you dont have to put up w/ that kid from dell, http://alienware.com/

    I recommend Wintergreen Systems and not just because I used to work for them :-)

    The last 5 PCs I have built for myself have been with their parts.
