    I just heard some sad news on talk radip - horror/fiction writer Stephen King was found dead in his Florida home this morning. He turned 55 a few days ago, and there weren't anymore details. I'm sure the entire slashdot community will miss him; even if you weren't a fan of his work there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an American icon.

      He has a vacation home here in Florida that he frequents. I can't speak for the original poster, but I do live in Florida and it's all over the news here. Never seen him tho, guess I never will now.
