The Perl Journal e-zine
owkeuflk writes "When TPJ became part of SysAdmin magazine, I was disappointed, but I stuck with them, and that is probably how they had my e-mail address to contact me that TPJ is being brought back as an e-zine, that is, if they can get 3000 pre-paid subscriptions. I might try it out, even though they are expanding coverage to include Windows -- unthrilled. I liked TPJ best when is was printed on plain, unglossy paper...."
$12 for what ? :P
... just forget the idea
a perl magazine ?
no thank you , i have the newsgroups
and i have the perldoc called thingy
i've been a programmer for about 12 years
now, and i hardly belive that you can
teach me anything in your magazine.
i belive in "FREE" things.
not in things that i have to pay for.
did i have to pay for perl ?
no
did i have to pay for my debian ?
no
do i have to pay for perldoc or mailing lists ?
no
i understand that you are willing to make
some money with it (not much, but still)
but why don't you just get a regular job ?
the e-industry as u people call it, is OVER
there is no such thing anymore.
there is only online banking, amazon & e-bay
you won't cut it with a perl magazine,
not even in your wildest dreams.
Sorry to say all that, but
I'd tell you the chances of this story being a dupe, but you wouldn't like it.
