NSF Grants for Decentralized Infrastructure Research

billbaggins writes "The NSF has given a grant to the IRIS project to research something called Distributed Hash Tables as a tool for creating networks that don't have "centralized points of vulnerability". The chief purpose seems to be to stop DoS attacks, intentional or otherwise. Check out their press release (text or Word format) and also the news coverage (CNN and NYTimes, among others)."

    My computar is teh busted. I am thinking that what will all teh smart computar people here you might be helping me.

    When I on teh power, smoke is rising from backside. I don't think this is supposed to be happening.

    So I was thinking what if someone here knows then they should reply to this post. I live in the bay area and woule liking to have someones come fix my computar. You could come over and fix my computar and then maybe some drinks and buttsex! I pay big money, you bet!
