MS Reveals Big-Name Xbox Games

LukeG writes "At this year's huge X02 event in Seville, Microsoft pulled out all the stops to convince the vast contingent of mainstream journalists present that the Xbox did indeed have the credentials to take on Sony and Nintendo. As well as the huge acquisition of Rare, Microsoft also reveled in the number of other potential AAA titles confirmed at the show. The best of these are examined in this preview."

Yes, you could have done a much better job by yourself. Thanks for your insight and wit.

Hey dip, if fps' were for pc's only (seeing as the Dreamcast was the only console yet to officially support a kb and mouse) then how could the gaming industry POSSIBLY be so strong in the console market?

Do you mean to tell me that the console came about just for racing, RPG and fighting games? Seeing as FPS' are the most popular types of games by 2 fold, I can't see how the console industry could be half as big as it is now! The only RPG series that is really that popular anymore is Zelda seeing as Square EA is supposedly discontinuing Final Fantasy Series due to the veyr poor sales of FFX. And racing?! The only racing game that looks any kind of good for anything other then X-BOX is the upcoming Need For Speed which I will be buying on my X-BOX and PC, thank you mr. "I-am-going-to-stick-to-my-shitty-PS."

The PC market only wishes FPS' were meant to be played with only a mouse and keyboard... there would be a much larger PC market then exhists in our poor economical situation.

BTW.... Since my X-box can play PS and PS2 games (thanks to hacking) better then my PS2 can, I am glad I just sold my ps2 on craigslist!

Get a clue, flamer... PLAY STATION SUCKS!

"We already know that the PS2 and GameCube have awesome games."

Noooooo... Nintendo has a handful of awesome games on the Cube. In fact, I'd say the only thing that gives them the edge at this point is their name and older than dirt game franchises like Mario and Zelda. In the battle for second, it's seems more about name brand recognition to me than anything else. I think if you were to give the XBox the same amount of visibility from years experience, you'd about have a tie or better, given the hardware.
