Tux Vs Clippy - New XBox Game

An anonymous reader writes "Just submitted on the XBox developers list, a new Xbox game (iso) is available. 'The battle for world dominance is raging. And now, you can play the game on your xbox(tm). Choose alliance with either Tux or Clippy, and finish the mother of all disputes right here and right now. This game is free (as in beer), and will run on any xbox that has been modified for use with the GNU/Linux operating system. The game runs on top of xbox-linux from Sourceforge's xbox-linux project.' The game features include: Industry heroes like CLIPPY, TUX, BIL, STV, RMS, LNS; Battle cries, each unique to the in-game characters, ranging from "Developers! Developers! Developers!" to "GNU!"; Anti aliased alpha-transparency graphics; Explosions." I have no idea if they're serious, and it doesn't matter.

    i didn't shell out $200 for the most powerfull console on the market to install linux and play a crappy game on it!

    Your idiotic arguments do more to belittle the linux community than silly games ever will. The more of this useless "Nobody will take linux seriously unless ..." I see, the less I want to take the linux "community" seriously. Face it: you're (personally) a fringe element. Nobody's listening to you, and for good reason: you don't matter.

    Furthermore, industry <b>does</b> take the linux community seriously. MS has publicly admitted that Linux is it's biggest competitor. Larger and larger installations are going on around the world (just search slashdot).

    There's nothing belittling about a silly game. Windows has it's share of silly games. There was a fucking flight simulator in MS Excel, for logic's sake. Is that silly? Does that discredit Microsoft? Hellshit no.

    The real linux community, the developers, is not immature. The only immature ones are the "community" that tries to associate itself with linux by spouting the benefits of open-source and free software and unix and whateverthefuck else. These people are just as ignorant and incoherent as the people they claim to be better than.

    In conclusion, shut up you dickfaced assgoblin.
