Using GPL software developed under the Linux Business Model I am able to communicate with developers without paying royalties to cellphone companies. I think all people should adopt this Linux standard instead of giving into corporate greed.

most of the world lives in little hovels. They sit in cafe's and SMS because their home is a little flat in the industrial section of town. Most of them can only afford a bicycle, and so they rail against anything that shows Americans to have more money and a better way of life.

But hey, you have GSM, so the Americans are really fucked.

I'm sure you can SMS each other about how hard it is to find a job.

In the US, our unemployment is 5.6% and we call it a recession. In Europe, unemployment is hovering around double digits and you pat each other on the back and congratulation each other on the "success" of your sad little economic policies.

That's why Americans don't take you seriously. In fact, they don't take you any way at all. You're simply not relevant.

So, your argument that the U.S. is poised to overtake Europe and Japan with CDMA is based on...

the existence of 1 (one) GSM phone in the US,

a phone which was jointly developed by a European and a Japanese company,

which theoretically would allows US high school kids to do what Japanese high school kids take for so natural it's just part of life?

Now, being realistic, this argument doesn't really support the original claim, does it?
