Interview with Taylor & Pennington from Red Hat
RH-Gimp writes "OSNews has put together a long and informative interview with Havoc Pennington and Owen Taylor from Red Hat. They discuss about the KDE issues, the UI on Red Hat 8.0, the future of the Linux desktop and XFree and other interesting stuff."
It seems like every other fucking article is from OSNews these days. Why doesn't OSDN just buy OSNews up and be done with it?
Addendum: freedom to pirate!
Do you even lift?
These aren't the 'roids you're looking for.
Red Hat sucks, get a decent linux distro such as Slackware ( http://www.slackware.com/ )
is that you? Haven't seen you for a while now. Please come back, we kikes, niggers and towelheads miss you a lot.
Sincerely,
a raghead
Distros! Distros are for wimps! Real hackers compile from source.

ok, enough already. haven't we heard enough of this propaganda? seriously.

I think RedHat should ditch the unstable linux kernel and start selling FreeBSD.
How do you feel about XFree's inability to fully function as a modern graphics subsystem?
What a lame and biased question - why doesn't the author just come out and say that he/she hates X?
HAHAHHAH! You got pwned, fucktard.
Kudos to the guy who put you in your fucking place you ignorant spouting assclown.
And yes, I have a problem with you being a Christian, and having a gay "I'm a Christian" sig. Remove the "Jesus fish" from your minivan and fuck off. You're not the persecuted anymore, you're the persecutors, so you don't need a fucking secret fish symbol.
Also, kudos to my homie, the Tiger Penis Soup troll.
uh.
you don't know what the problem is.
you don't know what the solution is.
go back to sleep.
OK, dude, here's where you missed the boat:
Since necessity is the mother of invention, and since you're clearly not happy with the current state of wine, and the Apps You Need(tm) aren't yet native, you have three choices:
a) stick w/your old platform(win) or dual boot
b) help code wine so that it runs the Apps You Need(tm)
or
c)help recode / code your own Apps that do whatever it is You Need(tm).
since A just sucks, and B and C take roughly the same amount of effort, where would you rather see it go? compatibility with legacy apps that will be replaced, or new, free/open source apps that then become the standard?

havoc is a fucking mouth junkie and a hippie. he is probably the most hardheaded, ignorant, unfriendly person that i met in all the years. his attitude to reply to users requests and wishes are more or less evil and ignorant. whoever had a mailconversation with him noticed this. the worst of all, he happily shout into the public how much he want that gnome becomes consistent and so on but none of his own written applications that made into the gnome desktop follows that rule. it's all warm air what comes out of his mouth. not to mention that he is the inventor of most evil shit for gnome. probably he is the only responsible one that made gnome suck balls. gconf that fucking registry like shit. there was a huge discussion what to use for the new system either bonobo-conf (the better) or gconf (the worse windows registry like crap) - and everyone decided for gconf because havoc pennington said so. button reordering in gnome like on macosx. everyone disliked it but havoc penningtopn said it's ok that way and everyone decided to agree to havoc pennington. no matter if that guy is right or not people usually agree with him. havoc pennington the man behind so much crap (gconf, gnome-terminal (which does not follow HIG), buttonreordering, broken metacity windowmanager, ignorance, pride, assholism). talk with him and you find out. discussion with him is worthless. he decides and it will be done. if it doesn't fit his vision then you who reported the wish are wrong. no matter if his code is broken or not. no matter if you show him the broken parts or sent him fixes. it's usually the other app that run strange because of his broken shit are responsible for not operating correctly.
