Smaller Than The Mini PC, The P4/2400 Micro PC

fist_187 writes "Tom's Hardware Guide has a story on the smallest PC since the Mini-PC: The MicroPC. It's a Pentium 4/2400 MHz machine, but you'd probably mistake it for a cable modem. I'm sure this trend will continue on to the Nano-PC, Pico-PC, and the Dick Tracy Watch."

Smaller may be better, but that's mostly for portable devices. If it's not portable, then it makes no difference.

If I could get 50% off current computer prices for building computer inside a case the size of a refridgerator, I would. In fact, if it would make them any cheaper, computers should be getting bigger!

I don't really see the problem with the legacy ports, nor with the ethernet ports - 2 is more than usual but gives you flexibility. AFAIK most people don't use USB for their 'core' peripherals - the keyboard and mouse.

If you run a real OS, like Windows, USB support is good enough to run your keyboard and mouse on it. Its only the shitty stuff like Linux that has issues with USB devices. Commie Fag.
