A Freshmeat editorial called 'The Antidesktop' talks about how you can get rid of flashy, bloaty window managers without loosing functionality."     this is exactly the sort of thing that is wrong with some linux people, and that keeps microsoft from getting too worried. People who expend energy to avoid window managers are not capable of making the rational decisions which can advance a software platform. Whatever. I'm sure there were some cavemen who thought fire used too many resources, was inefficient, etc.
