Apple Macworld Snub a "negotiating tactic"
Nick dePlume writes "Apple Computer's decision to not endorse the move of the east coast Macworld Expo convention from New York to Boston is a "negotiating tactic," albeit a shockingly public one, reports Think Secret. Sources believe Apple had firmly endorsed the move, which was announced today."
I've always wanted to ask a Mac oldtimer. What make you stick with them through OS 7 and 8? I worked for two separate companies that made the "real switch" from Mac to Windows because the unreliability of OS 7. I was actually a subscriber to Mac Addict up until 7.6. I just couldn't stand it anymore and switch to NT 4 which was just infinitely faster and more stable. Now I split my time between XP and Slackware and OS X isn't even on my radar screen. How did you last all those years?
Of course, the *real* question that needs to be answered is which city (Boston or New York) has the best security ... trade shows represent all sorts of targets.
I am sure that al-qaeda is all set to bomb the 200 hippies that show up at MacWorld. I am sure they must get those annoying "switch" FUDmercials, too.
I am a homosexual. I bought an Apple computer because of its well earned reputation for being "the" gay computer. Since I have become an Apple owner, I have been exposed to a whole new world of gay friends. It is really a pleasure to meet and compute with other homos such as myself. I plan on using my new Apple computer as a way to entice and recruit young schoolboys into the homosexual lifestyle; it would be so helpful if you could produce more software which would appeal to young boys. Thanks in advance.
with much gayness,
