Lik-Sang Back Online
Alexander Burke writes "Lik-Sang appears to be back online (until we slashdot them). However, their selection of PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and Xbox "backup and import" (pronounced modchip) items seem somewhat lacking. Coincidence? Surely not..." This previous posting should provide some good background reading if you've not been following this episode.

Yay! thanks slashdot for posting week old out dated prehistoric news which no one gives a poop about to begin with....
Those prices are ridiculous on most of their stuff. I don't think they will be online for too long with that variety/pricing. They should figure out how to get back to modding.
Like half the story timothy posts are reposts. I think he deserves an award. Please take the time and vote timothy for slashdot repost king.

In the light of so many repeated stories...I was wondering, did slashdot perl programs hit a nasty bug when Daylight Savings Time hit this morning?
So how will ChrisD prefer his games be distributed?
Who the fuck is that anyway
So why should making your own devkit be illegal?
You ask for "why" when there is only "is".
Zen does not reside in you yet, troll biter.

Actually, Northern Light does exactly this. The technology is hardly new; it's been around in research circles for a number of years. As I understand it though, the breakthrough to commercialization came when XML browsers became commonplace. It will be interesting to see how this technology pans out against Google's page ranking. Of course, dethroning Google is not easy, and they can always adapt. Just my 2 cents worth...
Umm.. How did this post end up here? Should it have gone with the discussion section a couple of posts ago?
Anyway, the guy is right on... There have been a number of "Google-killers" in the past couple of years and I have yet to see them do anything.
How did this post end up here?
It's a bit safer to reply to somebody else's comment than to post a top-level comment.

ummm where has slashdot been? this site has been back online for like 2 weeks, in fact they came back online; then brought the chip they own (which ships without a bios making it as illegle as a glass of water) the rights to; and then dropped it off the site again this weekend.
That would be the news about the site this weekend. that they dropped their chip
