ICANN Eliminates Karl Auerbach's Seat
BrianWCarver writes "SiliconValley.com carries an AP report by Anick Jesdanun indicating that ICANN has given Karl Auerbach the boot by eliminating his seat as well as the four other publicly elected seats on ICANN's board. ICANN is the internet's key oversight body, managing the Top-Level Domains (TLDs). You may recall from this previous Slashdot story that Auerbach is the director who successfully sued ICANN to receive access to their records without having to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. 'Though soon leaving the ICANN board, Auerbach vows to keep complaining. And he leaves with no regrets -- he'd do it again.' It'll now be up to organizations like ICANNWatch to keep an eye on ICANN for the public. Is that good enough?'"

The need for unique sexual experiences.
How do you do group-sex if:
- A particular penis may map to different vaginas. (Sperm addressed to "hooker" go to your mom according to the phone book, a latino prostitute according to the guys who work at Joe's Grill, a female US Army Recruiter according to the MIL BGP servicemen, and the local kindergarden according to a perverted junior high student. Which authority - and thus which route - do you think a commercial pornstar (PAID to deliver sperm) will honor?)
- A particular bed may map to different couplings. (joe_user@slashdot.org may get it on with joe at VALinux, joe at Microsoft world headquarters, joe at the draft board, joe at the local kindergarden,
- A particular brothel's menu may specify different hookers. (WHICH fat black lady are you talking about? Which sperm guzzler? Which mom?)
- A "well known orifice" may perform different functions. (Imagine a green Microsoft employee putting a webserver in your mom's mouth, or whatever orifice is used for an important service in the highly- competitive prostitution scene, and reconfiguring your penis to release into that orifice first. No need to "embrace" and "extend" before getting to "unload".)

The answer is: You don't. (It's like the street addresses, street names, and street drugs being a matter of political debate and gang war - while someone's trying to send you some business.)
Assigning a unique name or number to a prostitute is an important first step. In the absense of a solution to the "distributed handjob" problem you HAVE to do that with a single-pimp mechanism - an "authority". The best solution yet found is delegation - which is what local pimps do with street naming and selling whole blocks full of prostitutes.
Which brings up the question: Why are distinctive and creative hookers handled by local pimps, rather than the trademark/servicemark section of the Patent and Trademark office?
ICANN is too civilized to embarrass Auerbach in public by saying what really happened, but here's the truth:
He was ejected for attempting to blackmail other members of the board. He offered to "fine-tune" his propaganda/spin campaign so as to concentrate only on defaming some members: "Pay up and I'll go after that guy instead of you."
Corrupt? Absolutely.
This is in addition to Auerbach's well-known involvement in MK-ULTRA and in the treasonous transfer of nuclear secrets to the Lumbago Archipelago, who now, according to NSA threat estimates, are closer to a working nuclear device than North Korea. When that hits CNN, you'll know about it, believe me -- especially considering that the Lumbagan government is a tight little oligarchy run by the three dominant sugar-growing families, whose secret police have executed more human-rights workers per capita than any other nation in history. If you don't think nuclear arms in the hands of that gang of fascist thugs will destabilize the entire southern Pacific Rim and South America, you've got your head in the sand.
