Internet Access via Cell Phone HOWTO
Nate Carlson writes "I've been searching for a decently fast, inexpensive wireless 'net access solution. It's finally here! Sprint recently cut their PCS Vision pricing so that US$40/mo gets you unlimited data and 300 voice minutes to boot. I've written up a document on how to get this working with Linux - it works great, and averages 7-12kbytes/sec download speed. All I can say is, wow!"
...but if you have to involve your PC in the process, why bother surfing from the phone at all? You get a much better viewable area, and better browse control, through a PC than through a phone's browser. Did I just misread this writeup?
Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON, DUDES!
No, it's just another way for the poster, Nate Carlson, to show everyone how Very Important and Interesting and Beautiful He Is.
geeks hate the decimal radix. We like binary and hexadecimal.
I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Horror/Sci-Fi writer Stephen King was found dead in his Maine home this morning. Apparently, there were multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Police haven't officially published a motive or a suspect list, but inside sources in the Castle Rock P.D. have stated that King voted for several prominent Republican candidates in yesterday's election, and that it seems likely he was gunned down by hired goons from the Clinton/McCauliffe death squads. I'm sure he will be missed by the Slashdot community - even if you didn't enjoy his work, the guy could give one hell of a backrub. Truly an American icon.
Ok maybe I am a little bias because somebody stole my PCS phone the other day! I WILL FIND YOU AND AND...
I WILL KICK YOUR ASS
Rias is stinky.
