Accelerated nVidia Drivers for FreeBSD
zero0w writes "nVidia has released the official OpenGL accelerated driver set for FreeBSD 4.7 STABLE. Check out the nVidia Driver page for more detail. According to the page, this release should be considered as initial beta. So don't count on it to build a day-to-day production system, yet."

Why do BSD users want to be like Linux users if they hate Linux?
Linux is the Free Unix OS that can serve up web pages faster than Win2k, as well as outrun it in Quake 3. The left over niche which FreeBSD aims to fill must be terribly small..
The three Nvidia developers who developed these drivers increased the size of the FreeBSD community by 300%!

Not to mention the risk of losing your precious karma - OMG, posting at +1.

I can see you will become a machoman, but you've gotta work on it! YOU GOT TO WORK ON IT!
I think there actually was an interview with Theo a while back where he estimated the number of OpenBSD users. He might have said 7,000, I'm not quite sure, it was in that range anyway. But the rest is definitely made up.
these kind of comments crack me up!

Just what games DO you play on Windows, that you could play on Linux? Starcraft? Doom? Quake? Sims? Try some real games, pal. For example, Vampire: The Redemption, High Heat Baseball 2K2, Gothic. Oh, I forgot, you can't play those kinds of games on Linux or Unix
