    Ok i got a crazy idea, it has probably been suggested already but why doesn't slashdot take the webpages obviously hosted of a 486 with a cable connection (ie not a website like the new york times) and mirror it BEFORE they post it to the slashdot world. The slashdot servers obvoisly have the capacity to deal with slashdot as all of the slashdottings originate here. Perhaps that is the better option instead of leaving it up to the readers to post mirrors, by the time any reader who has the means to post a mirror a good link is slashdotted.
