Retailers Swing DMCA To Stop "Black Friday" Sale Info
zoid.com writes "It looks like a few of the big retailers have sent out DMCA notices to a few of the consumer deal sites. So now they are claiming that sale prices are covered under the DMCA. I would like to know what part of the DMCA states that you can not share the price of merchandise. Also, why would they want to stop this free advertising?"
those dogs!
I'm going to give him a call RIGHT NOW! I'm not going to let up until I talk to him personally for at least an hour because my comments and insight are VERY IMPORTANT!
The point that needs to be made MOST to Rob Liener of the Wall Screetch Journal is that the DMCA is not nearly as important an issue as the trashing of the Fourth Amendment, Poindexter's Total Information Awareness system, the U.S. military's continued use of Uranium 238 ordinance (also called DU) in major ground incursions, the U.S. becoming an agressor nation and attacking the weak and irrelevant Iraq without provocation, Cheney's involvement with Halliburton, the fact that Bush gained office via the judicial branch and not from being democratically elected, and FIRC's foreknowledge of the California rolling blackouts. He needs to drop this insignificant DMCA falderol and get on with the important stuff that isn't getting covered immediately! If he doesn't... well dangit, I'll threaten his family!
Thanks for posting his 1-800 number Cory! I'll tell him you sent me! Dial dial dial dial dial... (Ha ha, just kidding. Actually, there are no nuts on Slashdot, so there's nothing to worry about.)
