Xev writes "We have heard a lot about this new technology; over at HEXUS.net they have a review of a retail drive. The first on the internet, it is interesting to see the performance of the unit as well as the hotswap feature, and other new functions. Is this a solution to cheaper hot swap?"

    The only real way to interface hardware nowadays is with an h2o network, using virtual system calls. Plus that way you can store shitty pixelized monochrome images on the HDD!

    It did have a rather manufactured feel to it. You may prefer Trevor Brown's article on serial ATA technology, it has a more well-rounded approach to the issue, and comes to a better conclusion.

    It still Sucks. Good for store Pron, Mp3, warez. Probably buy packs of them against DLT tapes.

    But it still IDE. You know IDE Sucks. What ever they say, what ever next guy defend IDE. Ide Sucks and it always, always sucks.

    Another question, is that SATA uses one device per one channel is that mean une IRQ per device ?

    Real admins use SCSI. Thats IT...
