Linux to Become #2 on the Desktop?

DiZASTiX writes "An article from Zdnet says Linux on the desktop has become a reality. It is now possible, for example, to buy a Linux-based PC (running LindowsOS) from Evesham. In the United States, Wal-Mart sells machines based on Lindows, Mandrake Linux and others. But though Linux may have its foot in the door, taking the next step to becoming a mainstream success is proving a more difficult proposition."

    1. Guess you haven't seen my debian box with 32MB running blackbox. With the stuff (console based ncurses apps). I run it barely touches swap.

    2. Forget that. We need lets of different interface designs. The only standards should be in the protocals and such.

    3. Setup wizards. We have those already. atp-get install package

    4. Binary distributions. We have those already.

    5. Dangerous daemons not running. We have that already.

    6. How about M$ shills stop telling Linux evangelists how to do thing?

    So go back to sucking off Bill Gates tetes you M$ Luzor.

    Move Away From X-Windows.

    Check.

    The Adoption Of A Single, Standardized Interface Design.

    Check.

    Make Graphical Setup "Wizards" For Everything.

    Done.

    Binary Distributions For Everything.

    Done.

    Workstation Configurations With Dangerous Deamons (ftpd, httpd, etc...) Turned Off By Default.

    Okay.
