Pinewood Derby Tips?

PizzaFace asks: "My son and I have to start building his first Pinewood Derby racer, and I'm looking for tips. I've found conflicting advice online about even the basic science (e.g. high vs. low centers of gravity) so I'm hoping to tap into some of Slashdot's expertise." Might someone have some pictures of cool designs that might useful as a starting point?"

    I never made a pine wood derby car because my parents never forced that christianity bullshit upon me and I never joined the fag scouts. But I do remember that the toolboxfuckers who did do it always whined their pussy lips off about some pigfucker who won because his dad made his car for him. You are the pigfucker's dad. Let him make his own racer. If you think he's too young to do it, then he shouldn't enter until he's old enough. Or you should let him enter, make a shitty car, and learn from the experience. Doing it for him isn't gonna learn him shit.
