JimDog writes "Literally. I've created a web site documenting the construction and launch of a high altitude 'weather' balloon, with a payload that runs Linux. The project was a great success, reached an altitude of 80,000 feet, and took some really amazing aerial photos."

    Someone sticks a computer in a balloon and calls it news? Hell, I know 13 year olds who've launched small animals and insects into the stratosphere using helium balloons. Okay, so they didn't send back any pictures, but you get the idea.

    A friend of mine's going to install RedHat this weekend. After he's done, I'm going to submit it as a story. How do you guys like the title: "Somebody installed Linux because they were sick of Windows!"

    I bet it gets posted.
