HP Finally Reveals The Alpha Marvel

brejc8 writes "HP have revealed the new range of AlphaServer systems. The new EV7 processors show very reasonable performance figures. Revealed by the inquirer the 1GHz versions have very similar SPEC scores as the 1GHz Itanium 2 (INT_2000 of 875 and FP_2000 of 1,500). This is very intersting after HP were rumoured to ensure that "...no Alpha benchmark will be released until the Itanium platform(s) is/are faster"."

    Martin Luther King jr, minster dead at 58

    I just heard the sad news on the radio, beloved civil rights activist Martin Luther King jr. was found dead at his grave in Atlanta this afternoon. Authorities say that he was an apparent victim of a gunshot.

    Dr. King was piviotal in the civil rights movement of the 50's & 60's.

    I sure everyone in the United States will miss him, even if you didn't enjoy desegregation, there's no denying his contributions to human rights.

    Truly an American hero.
