IBM Trials TCPA Chip Under Linux
keihin writes "From IBM: IBM's Global Security Analysis Lab (GSAL) has done extensive analysis of the Trusted Computing Platform Alliance (TCPA) chip available on some IBM systems. We have the chip running under Linux, and have studied it extensively. In order to clarify a lot of misunderstanding about the chip, we are making available some helpful white papers and open source device drivers for Linux, so that interested people can test and use the chip in an open environment."
I had previously thought that only Intel was involved in the TCP Alliance, but it's good to see that IBM is on-board as well.

It's about time computer manufactures started getting serious about implementing security on computer systems. Piracy is rampant and the DMCA is going to be enforced to the maximum extent. TCPA is just a mechanism to ensure that the DMCA is obeyed. Before you start complaining, realize that the DMCA is completely constitutional and it is also fair. The constitution doesn't apply anyways in this day. It's obsolete and people who like to quote it or quote the authors of the constitution are nutcases. The same kind of people who were fairly and justifiably punished at Ruby Ridge and Waco also talked that kind of filth and thought they had the right to keep and bear arms. The US regime would be at risk if regular people were able to own military small arms since the people cannot be trusted. The government knows best so just shut up, pay your taxes, obey all laws, and don't complain. The DMCA has arrived and it's not going to *EVER* leave. Grow up.
Fucking beaner greaseball. Blow me.
