KDE 3.1 Released

Ashcrow writes "KDE 3.1 was released early this morning and boasts new usability enhancements, VNC-compatible desktop sharing, tabbed browsing, and a new download manager, among other enhancements. You can read the release anouncement here and start downloading from the closest mirror. Kudos to the KDE Team!"

    KDE for FreeBSD ports is still at 3.0.5. Can't wait to upgrade.

    and so is Gnome, until they prove this common scenario never happens again:

    1. Open some applications and work for a while.

    1b. Be sure to do lots of nifty, painstaking stuff.

    2. Logout of the KDE session.

    2b. Watch all your apps and hard work get WHACKED into oblivion in about 1.5 secs flat.
