jim.b0b writes "Wired has an interesting article about nicotine-free cigarettes, made from genetically engineered tobacco grown by Amish farmers. Vector Tobacco is hoping that their Quest cigarettes will make them a viable competitor to RJR and Phillip Morris. Don't worry, they are nicotine-free, not carcinogen-free."

    If you've ever been around the amish you notice some of their strange "laws". A while ago someone decided gas mantles as light sources were ok so welcome to 1850! If you go into an amish store they run the cash register from a car battery, although I'm not sure how its charged. It has to do with them being self sufficient.
