FOSDEM Meeting in Brussels This Weekend

Anonymous Coward writes "One of the most popular Free and Open Source events in Europe takes place this week-end in Brussels. The Free and Open Source Software Developers' European Meeting, entirely organised by volunteers the event has, in three editions, gained much attention from developers. This is a really technical, non-commercial event organised by the Free & Open Source Software community for the community. Take a look at the FOSDEM website, and take a look at the impressive schedule."

There are even "secret meeting" pages for developers of free software groups that don't want to follow the regular scheduled talks. http://wiki.ael.be/index.php/FosdemUnofficialTalks 2003

The best one is at maalbeek metro station, if you are coming from FOSDEM turn right after you get off the train, the club is in the actual station. There is no entrance fee and you pay a modest mark up on the drinks for the entertainment.
There is another one near the stock exchange (metro stations bourse or de brouckere) which is a lot sleazier but if you don't mind being constantly hasseled you can get a lot more there than a lap dance.

The speeches are taped and will be put online but we can't guarantee that.
