Sun Releases Solaris 9 for Intel
nairnr writes "Sun has announced that it is releasing Solaris 9 for Intel. Any takers? According to Sun, it extends the 'enterprise class OS to the X86 market'. How nice of them. Non-commercial usage is available at no charge, while commercial pricing starts at US $99; attractive OEM pricing is also available. Source code for Solaris will now be available. It seems they are after Microsoft, not Linux. More Power to them."
long dick. that is all.

HELP NEEDED in Switching to Linux from Windows
Yesterday, I bought SuSE Linux 8.1 Professional for 79.99. But then I read something about better fonts in Redhat.
Should I return the $79.99 SuSE Linux 8.1 Professional box and get the $149.99 RedHat 8.0 Professional instead?
Note: I prefer to buy a packaged version instead of downloading.
Which is the best Linux Distro ? And which has the best usability (fonts, performance, compabitility etc.) vs price ratio ?
I am also planning to run a website using slashcode [slashdcode.com] someday...
Thanks

Just naive enough to sound legit, but the classic barbs thrown in. Very subtle. I commend you sir.
