Nerobro writes "There's a group of geeks out there who are bound and determined to build their own submarines. In fact, there's a large group who have been successful. The most interesting is Cartsen Standfuss's CSSX-1. There is a mailing list, owners group and sizeable archive of information at psubs.org."

    Dear friends,

    Recently I have become more and more concerned over the legacy of goatse.cx man.

    This image has become an icon for the entire generation of /. readers but still we know very little about who he is, what motivated him and what is his long term vision of the future of mankind.

    If we do not act quickly and doucment the history of this remarkable man, we may never discover who he truly was. He will become the stuff of legends obscured by time like Moses (who knows what really happened on Mt. Sinai?), Jesus (what did he look like, did he really die?) or, more recently, Osama bin Laden (did he really die?).
