Texas Court Blocks Screen-Scraper

An anonymous reader writes "A Texas court has granted American Airlines an injunction against Farechaser to stop them from using a screen-scraper to copy airfare information from their website in violation of the terms and conditions. In a stunning display of hypocrisy, Farechase.com's own terms and conditions prohibit users from doing to them exactly what they are doing to AA.com. The EFF is involved, but it's unclear whether they're supporting the enforceability of a website's terms and conditions or Farechase's right to violate them."

What is so unethical about making one set of shareholders richer at the expense of making another set of shareholders poorer. This is capitalism, stupid. If it's not illegal, do it. That's just good coroporate governance.

    Welcome to the NWO!

That's bullshit. Show me whan the ACLU has EVER defended the KKK even in rhetoric.

The ACLU is more interested in making sure that noone expresses a christian thought in public. No christmas carols in school, and all that ridiculous misinterpretation of the constitution.

When a high school class forces kids to take a muslim name for the sake of 'learning about islam' (which is extremely offensive to say, an orthodox jew), does the ACLU so much as flinch? No, not at all.

But they'll take an elementary school to court for saying the words "God bless us, every one" in the schools production of A Christmas Carol.

They're idiots and sycophants. The fact that they parade themselves as some sort of 'defenders of the people' is disgusting. They have a defininate agenda, and it's not based on constitutional law in the least.
