i4u writes "Sony introduces at the Robodex 2003 it's new version of the humanoid Robot SDR-4X. The Sony SDR-4X was introduced last year. The new version SDR-4X II has improved movement functions, safety functions and conversation capabilities. The new speech processor supports continuous speech recognition with about 20,000 words.     I just heard some sad news on talk radio - popular screen-writer/director Michael Moore was found dead in his Burbank home this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his documentaries and whiny anti-war tirades, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an anti-American icon.

    I just heard some sad news on talk radio - Iraqi president (undisputed holder of the popular vote) Saddam Hussein, was found dead in his Baghdad presidential palace this morning. There weren't any more details. I'm sure everyone in the Slashdot community will miss him - even if you didn't enjoy his chemical weapons attacks and pre-recorded propoganda messages, there's no denying his contributions to popular culture. Truly an Iraqi icon.
