Harvard Open Source Courseware
mpawlo writes "Gnuheter reports that the Berkman Center for Internet and Society releases the H20 courseware software as open source. Two years and 1 million USD are invested in the software so far... The software has been tested at Harvard Law School, but should be suitable for other disciplines than law."
Two years and 1 million USD are invested in the software so far...
Those two years and 1 million USD are now thrown away. There is no incentive to continue development. I only see worse times ahead as this project turns into another failed open source dream...
Someone, please enlighten my ignorant soul and tell me what makes this software so special?
It's OPEN SOURCE!
It doesn't matter how crappy or worthless it is... *cough*linux*cough*!
The GOATSEMAN rectum initiative may be of interest as well.
