Acadia Streaming Patent Contested

Anonymous Coward writes "Since last year Acadia Research has sent hundreds of letters to various porn web sites to arrange royalty deals, picking on the small fry before trying to take on well-heeled companies such as Disney. However, many small fries refused, and now 40 firms have joined forces and are embroiled in a suit with Acadia. Fish & Richardson (a prominent intellectual property law firm) have taken their case. The best part? CEO Paul Ryan's obvious sour-grapes-syndrome, he goes from describing the web porn industry as a "billion-dollar industry" where the money is to a "sideshow" that's "maybe 1% of our potential revenues". Check it out here"

    already produce porno.

    I say outlaw porno. Period. There is more to life than jacking off. If people would put as much effort into bettering themselves as they put into beating the lizard this would be a better world..

    Hey, I just wanted to take a quick poll amongst the Slashdot crowd.

    Okay, those of you who have girlfriends (Hahahahaha... okay, just pretend):

    1. When you get a blowjob, do you prefer that the she:

    a) Lets you cum in her mouth, then swallows;
    b) Lets you cum in her mouth, then runs off and spits;
    c) Pulls out and jerks you off onto her face;
    d) No Preference
    e) Other (please specify)

    2. When fucking your girlfriend, do you:

    a) Cum inside her;
    b) Pull out and immediately cum on her ass or stomach;
    c) Pull out a bit early and jerk off onto her face;
    d) No preference
    e) Other (please specify)

    My own preferences are 1: (a) and 2: (e) Pulling out, titty-fucking her and giving her a pearl necklace.

    Who cares if the porn industry is a billion dollar industry. What about the fact that African Americans are owed trillions of dollars for unpaid wages due to slavery, false imprisonment, and joblessness. Payment may include all of the following: land, equipment, factories, licenses, banks, ships, airplanes, various forms of tax relief, education & training, to name a few.
