Hydra: Rendezvous-Enabled Text Editing

Tokerat writes "It's incredible what some people dream up. A recent post on MacSlash brought this little gem to my attention, and I have a feeling some of you fellow /.ers will be screaming to get your hands on this: Hydra is a Rendezvous-enabled text editor, which allows several people to edit a text document at the same time. Imagine doing some extreme programming with this, with one person writing code and another following the first and correcting their mistakes & making optimizations simultaneously? It already works with Apple's Project Builder, supports syntax coloring, and the ability to manage access on a per-document basis. Future improvements will include support for RTF and much tighter integration with Project Builder. It looks to me like these guys are really on to something here."

    War of lies
    ===========

    Now it has become clear that the reasons the Bush administration
    gave to let the war against Iraq appear necessary and just are mere
    lies:

    * weapons of mass destruction: Obviously the claims of the Iraqi
    government the they had destroyed all such weapons were true. There
    were no such weapons used to stop the advance of the coalition
    forces even though they were fighting a vast superior enemy. Any
    "evidence" that will be produced by the invading forces in the
    future is insignificant or even forged.

    * Scud or other long range missiles: No Scud or other missiles that
    Iraq wasn't allowed to have were found except those that were
    destroyed under the supervision of the weapons inspectors.

    This makes this war clearly a breach of international law and Mr. Bush
    and his administration war criminals for launching an attack on a
    sovereign state.

    This further poses the question for the real motives of the Bush
    administration to go to war:

    * domestic political weakness.

    * greed, they are personally involved with the companies they
    want to rebuild the Iraqi infrastructure and run the Iraqi oil
    wells.

    * furthering patriotism to make the US citizens swallow the
    dismantling of their civil rights and, in consequence, their
    constitution to allow the administration to remain in power.

      Explain this dipshit.

      French oil giant TotalFinaElf probably has the biggest stake. It spent six years in the 1990s doing preparatory work on two giant oil fields and has signed two tentative agreements with Saddam to develop them.

      And what about the missles fired at Kuait?

      So France being involved in the Iraqi oil business justifies to kill thousands of innocent people?

      And what about the missles fired at Kuait?

      That were missiles they were allowed to have. Everything indicates that, no proof otherwise.

      What about the 100,000 Kurds that Saddam killed? And what thousands of innocent people? IRAQI news reports the death of 557 civilians, which is probably inflated, since it is comming from Iraqi news. What about the civilians the Republican guard killed for trying to leave Iraq? Explain to me how the world will be a better place with Saddam in power? Would Saddam support you even having a viewpoint? I suppose you also believe Hitler had nothing to do with the holocaust as well, you ignorant fool.

    This just in:

    Apple has computers that run off of standard household power! Apple's new mega-impressive technology converts standard household current into usable DC power for the computer!

    It works with both North American 120VAC 60Hz and European 240VAC 50Hz formats!
